About CS
For a remarkable and glamorous career in legal affairs and corporate finance, the best career path is to opt for Company Secretariat or CS Course. CS is a certified course which is administered by the Institute of Company Secretariat of India, i.e. ICSI under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980.
According to the standards placed by Companies Act, any organization that possess a share of Rs. 5 corers+ is lawfully bind to hire a company secretary for monitoring the legal matters of business. With rapid corporatization, the role of the company secretary is becoming more significant since the past few years, which in turn maximized the requirement of company secretaries in India. The CS course offers a location of power as well as status and direct admission to the top board or management room.
A CS can holds many crucial positions like:
The candidates who have cleared the senior secondary examination, i.e. 10+2 from a specific board or any other exam that is accepted by the Central Government as equal to the board exams are eligible to join the course. Exception from the Foundation exams is specified to graduates, post-graduates and the candidates who have cleared the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) that is conducted by ICAI will be able to directly register to the Executive Program of CS Course.
The duration of course: 8 months, excluding the months of admission and examinations. The candidates are required to pass the Foundation exam in 3 years since the date of the admission.
The examination: The examination will be conducted in the OMR Sheet form which will include the objective-based multiple-choice questions.
Session 1 (Two parts-90 minutes-200 marks)
Session 2 (Two sections-90 minutes-200 marks)
The qualifying marks: The candidates will be considered as pass if he or she requires a minimum of 40% in every subject and 50% in the overall subject.

CS Professional Programme
Company Secretary Professional Course can only be pursued if you clear the Executive Program of the CS Course.
