Staff Selection Commission - Combined Graduate Level Examination, often referred to as
SSC CGL is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the
Government of India .
The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam conducted annually by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) consists of four tiers, i.e.,
Tier – I, Tier – II, Tier – III and Tier – IV. latest pattern of Tier – I, Tier – II, Tier – III and Tier – IV exams
which will help you in preparing for the exam a systematic manner.
Tier-1 will take place in multiple slots via computer mode, with objective type questions, Tier-2 will comprise two papers of
200 marks each for Quantitative aptitude and English, Tier-3 is a descriptive type exam to test the written skills of the candidates
in English/Hindi and Tier-4 is conducted exclusively for the post of Assistant Audit Officer. Candidates must have a graduate
degree to apply for SSC CGL and the candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply with their provisional
degrees. The Age limit for SSC CGL Recruitment varies from post to post. The minimum age limit is 27 years and the maximum age
limit criteria is 32 years.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) every year in four levels for various posts. Exam Pattern - The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

SSC CGL Tier - III Exam is a descriptive paper which will be taken offline via pen and paper mode. In this exam, candidates’ language proficiency, grammar knowledge, vocabulary usage and writing skills will be tested in English/Hindi. Candidates are required to write essays, précis, application, letter, etc. in 60 minutes.

The best way to prepare for this tier is to read lots of articles from various newspapers. Apart from this, you need to be well aware of the pattern of Letter and Application.
The SSC CGL Tier - IV Exam comprises of a couple of skill tests which are required for certain government posts and document verification procedure:

Document Verification:
The last step to the final selection would be Document Verification. Candidates will have to submit copies of various documents like Matriculation Certificate, educational qualification, caste certificate, relevant document, if any relaxation is taken, etc. Candidates will be required to produce all documents in original for verification at the time of document verification.
After going through the above mentioned detailed syllabus of SSC CGL 2018-19 Exam, the next step is to create a study plan and start working on it. For instance, start your practice by solving some previous year question papers and analyse your strong & weak points. Regular practice will help in achieving accuracy and high score in the exam.
